Our Team
How We Work
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.
Our team approach adds perspective to all we do and provides increased benefits to our clients.

Michael J. Shatsky
Managing Partner | Chief Investment Officer
michael.shatsky@skyalphaadvisors.com
Michael Shatsky is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer of Sky Alpha Asset Advisors. He also oversees the firm’s proprietary SPX option strategy, Alpha Through Volatility (ATV).
Michael started his financial career at Smith Barney in 1993 after studying business at Florida Atlantic University. There, he focused on fixed-income solutions for high-net-worth individuals and was mentored by some of the firm’s top advisors—an experience that shaped his client-first approach and laid the groundwork for his future success.
In 1995, he started developing what would become the ATV Strategy, eventually making it the core of his wealth management practice. That dedication led to the launch of Sky Alpha 23 years later. “Our niche will continue to set us apart,” Michael notes, “especially as the industry becomes more uniform and authentic active management becomes harder to find.”
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending quality time with his 11-year-old daughter. They like going to the beach, playing sports, watching movies, and traveling together. A passionate golfer, he’s a proud member of Adios Golf Club, one of South Florida’s most exclusive clubs.
